There’s more to a lifesaving club than the water; Our Dry/Social membership is for anyone who wants to support the club, get involved and be part of a friendly community
Parents and carers of Nippers and Youth members who'd like to be more involved
Former members who've hung up their trunks but want to stay part of the club
Local supporters who want to back a charity that keeps Dawlish Warren beach safe
Anyone who'd like to help out on dry land, whether or not they ever intend to train
In addition to the beach and surf based qualifications, SLSGB offers various land based qualifications that you can attain at the club, including:
SLSGB Level 1 Emergency First Aider
SLSGB Level 2 Intermediate First Aider
SLSGB First Responder
and many more
There are no specific training times for Dry training, rather dry members can attend Nipper/Youth or Senior/Master training sessions if the subject for that session is land based. Training sessions are every Sunday from 10:00 to 12:30 and Tuesdays from 18:00 to 19:00.
Contact either the Nipper/Youth Training Officer Katy Herdman at: nippers@dwlsc.co.uk or the Senior/Master Training Officer Matt Wyon Brown at: seniors@dwlsc.co.uk to register your interest.
We offer free taster sessions; you MUST complete a taster session membership with SLSGB on JustGo BEFORE attending your session.
After that you must pay personal membership with SLSGB and DWLSC before you can begin training.
SLSGB membership is a one-off payment of £36 a year
DWLSC membership is £2.50 a month taken on the first of the month by direct debit via GoCardless.
